This year’s NAIDOC theme, “50 Years of Deadly,” is a powerful milestone — a time to honour fifty years of celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, leadership and contributions across this country.
For Junaya, NAIDOC is more than one week. It is a continuing commitment to culture, community, truth-telling and self-determination. We pay respect to the Elders, organisers, artists, advocates and communities who have carried the NAIDOC movement forward with strength, resilience and pride.
This year Junaya will be proudly supporting local NAIDOC events with GWAHS and Babbayn Aboriginal Corporation. We will also be holding our own Junaya NAIDOC event on Tuesday 14 July 2026, from 10am to 2pm at 8 Grafton Street.

After NAIDOC Week, Junaya will continue showing up for community all year round. As an Aboriginal-led ACCO governed by an Aboriginal Board, we remain committed to building strong relationships and partnerships with ACCOs across Western Sydney.
